Home EV Charger Installation

Charge Your EV at Home – Fast, Safe & Smart

We install certified home EV chargers tailored to your property and lifestyle.

ABOUT US

Why Home EV Charging?

Home charging is the most convenient, cost‑effective way to run an electric vehicle. Plug in when you get home and wake up to a full battery, without queueing for rapid chargers or paying public‑charging premiums.

Lower running costs

Use off‑peak tariffs or your own solar to cut pence‑per‑mile dramatically. Smart chargers automatically schedule charging when energy is cheapest and cleanest.

Safer than a 3‑pin plug

Dedicated wallbox units include load management, RCD protection and proper cabling, keeping your home within limits while charging faster.

Ready for the future

Compatible with all major EVs and designed to work alongside batteries, dynamic tariffs and home‑energy controls.

Benefits of a Home EV Charger

Convenience You’ll Feel Every Day
Stop planning your life around public charge points. With a dedicated wallbox at home, you simply plug in when you arrive and start each morning with the range you need. App control lets you start/stop sessions and check progress from the sofa.
Real Savings with Smart Control

Pair your charger with off‑peak tariffs (e.g. overnight) and use automation to charge at the cheapest times. If you have solar PV, we can configure your charger to favour surplus generation, reducing grid imports and costs.

Safety Built‑In

We survey your supply, specify correct cabling and protection, and commission to standards. Dynamic load management prevents overloads and keeps your home within safe limits while the EV charges.

Future‑Ready & Universal

Our solutions are compatible with all major EV makes and models (Type‑2). Options include tethered or untethered sockets, lock features, RFID, and integrations with batteries and smart‑home platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about home battery storage? Here are some of the most common queries we receive, with clear answers to help you understand how battery systems work and how they can benefit your home.

1. How long does it take to charge my EV at home?

A typical Level 2 home charger (around 7 kW) adds roughly 20–30 miles of range per hour, enabling a full charge overnight for most EVs. This is ideal for daily commuting.

2. What’s the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 chargers?

  • Level 1 chargers plug into a standard 120 V (UK: 230 V) outlet and provide a slow trickle charge—usually only a few miles per hour—suitable for light commuting.
  • Level 2 chargers use a 240 V circuit and deliver charging speeds about 4× faster than Level 1, making them much more practical for daily use.

3. Do I need to upgrade my home electrical panel?

Not always—but if you want a Level 2 charger and your panel is already heavily loaded, an upgrade may be necessary. An electrician can assess whether a new circuit or structural enhancement is required—or suggest smart options like load balancing to avoid costly panel upgrades.

4. Can I install a charger outdoors or in the rain?

Yes—EV chargers can safely be installed in garages or outdoors, provided they’re rated for outdoor use and installed by a qualified electrician who ensures proper weatherproofing and compliance with safety standards.
